Water trail in the Sulzbach valley

Idyllic adventure hike - seasonal operation annually from May 1st to September 30th.

A 4.5 kilometer long adventurous path along the Sulzbach stream leads over footbridges and stepping stones past rare plants and animals. Numerous animal species can be observed in their natural habitat. Visitors are accompanied by six friends, the stone crayfish, kingfisher, caddis fly, fire salamander, dragonfly and bullhead, which can also be seen on the logo of the water trail and which introduce visitors to their habitat on and in the Sulzbach.

  • Start / End: Parking lot at the natural swimming pool Lahr-Sulz, Bachstraße 51
    You can get a pen, PH strips and a small flyer with tasks to solve for two euros from a ball machine.
  • Route: Circular trail in the Sulzbach valley to the Rennweghütte and back
  • Along the way: Sulz natural swimming pool, picnic facilities at the Sulzbachtal and Rennweghütte huts
  • Character: Not suitable for baby carriages, non-slip and waterproof footwear required, groups of up to 10 people (split up)
